Who We Are?
Connecting Hope & Saving Lives
Every Life Matters. Every Person Deserves to Be Heard.
At SPAN – Suicide Prevention Awareness Network: Research & Training, we believe that every life is precious, every person deserves dignity, and no one should have to face emotional pain alone.
We work to prevent suicide and promote mental well-being through awareness, training, research, community outreach, and evidence-informed action.
Our goal is simple: to build communities where people can recognize distress, respond with compassion, encourage help-seeking, and connect those in need with appropriate support.

Community Outreach
SPAN believes that communities can become powerful spaces of care, support, and suicide prevention. Many people in distress first turn to family members, friends, teachers, religious leaders, colleagues, neighbours, or community members before approaching professional services. Therefore, communities must be equipped to listen, recognize distress, respond responsibly, and guide people toward appropriate support.
